Social Justice

Tonight's homework is only to listen to a PODCAST.
This podcast may seem unrelated to social justice but it will become clear once you hear the end of the talk. You must listen to the whole thing. It's light homework. Go for a run, walk your dog, do some chores for your family and plug in tonight's listening work.
You must respond to this podcast by writing a paragraph response on the following topic.
"How is what can and cannot be accepted as tolerable discussion on campus fall in the category of social justice?

Auritro, where were you at chapel today?

Both classes are bringing in their expository essays tomorrow as we will be paying special attention to our leads.
Both classes are reading the next chapter for homework tonight as well (+ questions).


Worship

In class essays tomorrow and they are due Thursday by A block.

Gobble Gobble: Happy Thanksgiving!!

Everybody is reading two chapters this weekend. Either 1 and 2 (block b) or 3 and 4 (block c) and it goes without saying that you complete the questions.

Also, this is a good time to get cracking on your lit circles and spending a little time crafting your expository essays. We will be looking at those again next week.

 You are finishing our chapter on "family and work as worship". Please write 5 things you learned about work and vocation from this last section of our reading.
Point form is fine but please elaborate on each response.

B block, again read yesterdays blog post for tonight's homework. This involves reading the handout "The Coddling of the American Mind" first and then doing the well-written paragraph response.

C block, read chapter 2 of 1984 and answer all the questions for the first 2 chapters.

How are we to spread the gospel (Matthew 28:18-19) that is to say, SPEAK THE TRUTH, while being mindful not to offend anyone (2 Corinthians 6:3). It seems the Lord calls us to do both; therefore, both are possible, but how?
