Psalm 46:1

Hello Again,

If you have not already done so, please check your emails as I have sent your speech marks and upcoming homework expectations for Monday. Look for other marked work to be in Friday pick up bags.
If you did not receive an email from me, please let me know. Thank you, and take care!

Welcome Back Somewhat Home-Schoolers!

I hope you had a relaxing, self-distancing/isolating Spring Break.
I am happy to be back at it and I hope you are too!
Routine is the best way to help days feel productive and eventful.

I know many of you are wondering how English is going to look for the next little while
and while I don't know for sure, you have my commitment that I will make it as engaging, challenging, thoughtful and fun as I can from a distance.

If you haven't done so yet, you know you have to complete up to page 16 of Of Mice an Men and answer all the questions provided on the handout.
If you didn't get the handout, ask a friend to send over a photo or a scanned version of it.
In these next few days or weeks, we will need to be technologically creative to help and assist ourselves and our classmates.
Please check back to this blog over the next few days and post any questions you may have in the comment bank below so all students can see.

I will be in virtual meetings all day today with the other staff members and once I know how we will be proceeding as a school, I will inform you how we will approach English online. I am excited to see how this plays out and I am looking forward to the day when I can teach you again back in the classroom but, until then, there are many things we can still do together on the computer.
For starters keep reading ahead up to the next section of Of Mice and Men to keep you occupied.
I will follow up with the next bit of instructions from there soon.

God bless you, students, until we meet again.

Walk in faith not fear,
Mrs Loconte
