A day of Snow but not a Snow day

 English 10

Finish reading chapter 1 and answer the questions for this chapter.

English 11

Complete your Poetry Poker poem.

4 lines of poetry = 1 stanza. Turn it in tomorrow- hand written or typed is fine.

Remember poetry is 'condensed literature' so try to say just as much with fewer words BUT make sure you have all 5 words underlined in each verse of your poem.

Philosophy 12

Quiz tomorrow. Study well and also read the section on 'Buying and Selling Organs'.

Don't Just Wear a Pink Shirt...Don't be a Bully!

 English 10

You are done short stories! You are getting into a 'novella' next called Animal Farm. For some context to this interesting little story complete the research page on the back of the handout. No long answers necessary. Just a brief sentence or two will suffice for each point. Read all about the person, place, or thing and sum it up in your own words on the sheet.

English 11

I have not assigned anything specific for tonight so it's a good opportunity to start crafting your speech.

Philosophy 12

Read to the top of page 103 if you have not already done so in class. No questions for this section of reading are necessary.

Sunny but Cold...don't forget your pink shirt tomorrow

 English 10

You are writing a short story test tomorrow. Bring a pen. You do not need to bring lined paper. You may begin as soon as get your paper. Read the instructions thoroughly. You may not leave to go to the bathroom during a test so please go before or after.

English 11

Read The Charmer and answer the first question at the end...place your descriptors of Zach on a T chart. "If you really knew me" speeches begin next Monday.

Philosophy 12

Listen to this podcast. It is approx. 30 minutes, so very doable--and interesting!

Please answer these two brief questions:

What are some 'repugnant' transactions and why?

What factors turn such transactions into acceptable ones?

Why You Can Donate A Kidney, But Not Sell It?
