Talent Show Day

 You look great!

English 10

The first thing you will do is hand in your concrete poem with the rough draft (don't staple).

Next,  you are writing Free Write #10.

Here is your image:

10 minutes, and don't forget the title.

Lastly, you are finishing  scene 4 of Act 2. Read in your 'shoe size' groups from yesterday.

Complete the questions in class (I'll check Tuesday).

Watch the movie version of Act Two.

You should remember which DVD it is (the one with Marlon Brando). Help Mr. A figure out where we last stopped it.

The DVD player is in my drawer on the right hand side.

Complete Snippet #2 over the weekend for Act 2. That will help you study for the quiz on Tuesday. I am collecting these snippets for marks, so step ya game up!

English 11

Complete the last page of sentence structure. We will review that last page on Tuesday.

Before we have Keesh taught to us by the next student, complete this journal entry below.

10 minutes of timed writing.

Keesh is a boy who leads his people.
David, while still a boy, helped his people to victory over the Philistines by killing Goliath.
Paul tells Timothy not to let anyone look down on him because he is  young, but to set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
What are things you are expected to do or not do because of your age? In what ways is your age a stumbling block and in what ways is it advantageous? Define your age. Start with ‘Sixteen is the age of ________________’ and continue...

The rest of the class is for Keesh discussion.

I am sorry to have missed this presentation. I know it will be good!

You're homework is the rough draft for the newspaper article.

See you Tuesday.

Have a lovely long weekend.
