Make a big dent on your group outline,
If you need a little more time - that's fine.
In tomorrow's class you can join your group
and finish it off with one fell swoop.
We won't have a lot of time, maybe half the class?
But to waste the given time frame would be crass.
And read up to page fifty-nine in your novella,
We'll discuss Slim, Candy, George and that other fella.

Your research for your topic should now be nearly complete.
Please have it ready for Monday and make it look nice and neat.
With 'of Mice and of Men' you're reading up to forty and four
We'll unpack this story tomorrow and I'll assign a bit more.
