Thursday's be like...

I jest. I jest. But shout out to our resident Grad Council leader, Annabelle, who thought today was Friday. Ugh! Been there! Hang in there, noble students, the long weekend is just around the corner.

So here's the news for the day:

English A block--I'm at a Track and Field Meet today. Mrs. Duncan's got my back for coverage but make sure you do Editing and Proofreading on Michael Jordan (on my vintage desk).
That will be followed by a homework review of Chapter 7. Please inform Mrs D if you didn't get it done. Honestly, people--the fate of your eternal soul is infinitely more valuable than a marble in the jar.
Next is journal entry #3. Take a minute to think about the topic and then take 10 more to write.
See below for topic.
Lastly, you need to read chapter 8 in class.
Small group, popcorn style, independently--I'm not picky, it just needs to be completed by the end of class, with questions of course. It's a good chapter, so enjoy.
There will be a quiz on Part 1 of 1984 on Tuesday

Both Classes: No homework for tonight because Capstone Proposals with signed mentor sheets are due tomorrow. (You don't want that smoke, if it's not done!)

Finally, I want to seeing nothing but Orange Crush looking back at me tomorrow. Wear your orange shirts!

What is an ‘ideology’? If you were to describe the ideology which you believe, on which principle(s) would you say your ideology is based: Freedom? Law & order? Material comfort? Something else?

SAMPLE IDEOLOGY:
“Totalitarianism has abolished freedom of thought...it not only forbids you to express--even to think--certain thoughts, but it dictates what you shall think...and it shuts you up in an artificial world in which you have no standards of comparison” Orwell.
