Sunday's a-coming!

Hello lovelies!

Please watch your "poetry in voice" performances and self evaluate based on the marking sheet and hand this in Tuesday:

Videos

If you left your marking rubric at school (cuz that happens), I got 'chu:

Scoring Rubric

Remember that your proposal for your 'poem based on a lie' is due this Tuesday. Hand-written, typed, doesn't matter, just give me a paper copy.

And lastly, here is your 'quiz' for Act 2, also due Tuesday.

Looking at Act 2, Answer this question in one well written paragraph.
Who is Macbeth? Have a good hook, well integrated quotes, and a strong conclusion.

(sorry this post isn't in verse,
it was kind of hard to be terse,
and I didn't have time to rehearse
my lines. Not doing a poem feels like curse,
but I'll be back with rhymes, should worse come to worse!)

It's everywhere you want to be

Books to bring home for English? $0
Assignments that need to be completed? $0
Homework to finish for tomorrow's class? $0

That feeling you get when you know this is true? Priceless!

Poor Macbeth?

Now for the homework we've been practicing for a while,
Tomorrow you deliver your poem(s) and do it in style!

Palm Sunday: "Hosana, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord"

Students be asking me, "What's my grade?"
Isn't that why the report card was made?
Projects, quizzes, and tests handed back:
You should have a sense of where you stack.
So nobody ask me, "What's my mark?"
Or I'll have to repulse you like Tony Stark.
Let's focus on the homework that needs to be done,
Complete Scene two and questions...and let's call it fun.

I don't know how I feel about a play set in Scotland without Scottish accents?

Tomorrow's the day when you dress from way back,
You could be a bygone farmer and bring in a haystack.
Or rock my decade and breeze in with Hammer pants,
The nineties were dope, you can see that in a glance!
Tomorrow's also like a Friday so it's a double celebration.
But then there's that Act 1 quiz which might dampen the elation.
Oh and if there's any assignment that you've been trying to duck,
You should get that in tomorrow or your report card might suck!

Short Week? Yes, Please!

Tonight you're doing two questions on Macbeth and his wife,
Homegirls's tripping and bringing on nothing but strife.
More on that tomorrow but don't forget your lines to learn,
You'll recite them to your peers and listen to theirs in turn.
