Speechless from Speeches
You took the challenge and rose to the occasion,
Made me want to give more than one standing ovation.
Thank you for having the audacity to 'keep it real'
and for feeling like a bit of your soul you could reveal.
We've got another day to shed layers and drop the mask,
but with speeches already written there is no other task.
So enjoy your Monday night with English work on hold,
Cuz we'll soon be on that grind, you've now been foretold!

Weekends Got Me Like ....
You've pushed this speech to its final delay,
If you haven't started, you've got quite the relay
race in front of you. So break it down into chunks
and apply the discipline of monastery monks.
Remember to include some devices in your delivery,
And wear your story proudly, like gold threaded livery

Bring paper to class & a pen (blue or black).
A word of advice for my students who show late,
Missing ten minutes of class could doom your fate.
So set that alarm and get a good night's rest,
Cuz nobody likes the feeling of bombing a test.
Review the stories and terms learned this year,
And make sure your answers are abundantly clear.
Then head into the weekend and slay that speech,
The possibility for greatness is within your reach.
