2. Rewrite the Introductory paragraph, given the student and teacher advice with which you were provided today. Submit this rewrite with the original.


Social Justice

1. In our discussion on Unclean Water, you read the Briefing, Field note 1, and Field note 3. Pick one entry that had the greatest impact on you. What impressed you the most--the people, the need, the difficulty, God's provision, or a person's selfless service? Write your own thoughts, feelings, and reactions in a paragraph response.

2. In a second paragraph, reflect on some patterns in your life that you might need to reconsider after reading and discussing this section (unclean water). What are some habits that you feel you might want to include or exclude from your life. It can be anything from replacing your shower head with a less wasteful one to supporting an NGO doing water-based work abroad.

3. This weekend take the three gallon challenge (not for marks). Try to experience what its like not having accessible clean water. You can find three gallons of water at your local store. Find out what its really like to wash your clothes, your body, cook, brush your teeth, etc with only three gallons of water. If you REALLY want a challenge try carrying home three gallons of water from the store. No backpacks allowed. Remember this is a reality for 1.1 billion people around the world.
