First Full Week In
English 12
Tonight we will be reading our first story in the Ourselves and The Other unit. It's called "The Destructors" by Graham Greene. If you have borrowed a book it's on page 111 or 115, depending on which edition of Perrine's Literature you have. If you are here to read the story online, the website is HERE. It's suggested as a 21 minute read, so budget your time appropriately. There are no questions to complete but there will be questions in class so please come prepared for the homework check.

Sun, Sand, Surf...Sailing : )
Today was awesome, grade 12s! I'm glad I got to share the adventure with you (from the shore).
So The Most Dangerous Game is the story you need to read for this weekend. Here is the link: Short Story Time
I realize some of you may have read this story before. That is okay. There is no test but there will be some questions on Monday. Please (re-)read it and be prepared for a discussion. If you haven't read it in a few years be sure you know the order of events and main characters names.
Yes, I recognize it's lengthy. It will be the longest short story we read and you got all weekend. Take care and
See you Monday!

More Macbeth, 11s?
I can't believe we didn't see the last 20 minutes of Macbeth. Man, the ending is a real douzy!
I wasn't able to find it online... PBS owns the rights to it, I think, but below is the website I went to, perhaps you savvy youngins can find it if you really try and want to see how it ends.
I will show it in the fall though; we simply must see this through!
Also if you have AppleTV you can watch a B & W version of Macbeth. There is a version released last year with Denzel Washington as Macbeth.
---
HAGS and if anybody finds the PBS version, feel free to put it in the comments below.
Still showing it in September, though, FR!
